Comments: I picked this book up because it was rated one of "the best science fiction series of all time". It actually seemed to bridge the gap between sci-fi and fantasy to me. I did get 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through it but it just dragged on and on. There were some interesting twists and turns but ultimately I couldn't be bothered with it anymore it was a chore. I will be getting a sci-fi lover as one of my raters soon so this might be changing.
