THE DEATH CURE by James Dashner

Book 3: MAZE RUNNER

It’s the end of the line.

WICKED has taken everything from Thomas: his life, his memories, and now his only friends—the Gladers. But it’s finally over. The trials are complete, after one final test.

Will anyone survive?

What WICKED doesn’t know is that Thomas remembers far more than they think. And it’s enough to prove that he can’t believe a word of what they say.

The truth will be terrifying.

Thomas beat the Maze. He survived the Scorch. He’ll risk anything to save his friends. But the truth might be what ends it all.

The time for lies is over.

Comments: This book was ok. I didn't love it but I wasn't bored out of my skull. Sure WICKED needs to map the neural pathways but why, how in the world could that possible help? (this is the simplified question, hoping to not give any spoilers) Still that question was never satisfactorily answered which is my major issue with most dystopian series. If you have a great idea like: these boys are in this maze and they need to get out…. then have the stupid story end when they get out. Don't make up some bull crap reason for why they were in there in the first place. If you don't have a great reason and you can't make up a reasonable one then don't try to explain yourself (this way you piss your readers off in a much better way). Also who cares if your publisher wants a series. You have what you have and if you can't make the rest amazing, don't, because you just waste EVERYONES time. I guess I just want more of a concrete reason because there is no way you could take this stupid story to any government and have the majority agree that the use of resources was worth such a flimsy hypothesis. (please excuse the tangent) Still the book was well written,(i.e. I wasn't bored to death) and it was clean.
