Comments: This is a great novel. It has some boring parts but the history is interesting. It is sad and romantic and disenchanting and interesting. Unfortunately, I hate the heroine because she is stupid but oddly her stupidity also fascinated me.( like: What would she do next that would screw everything up? ) And the lead male was not any better. The silly mis-communications and 'delicacies'/lack there of, of this time period seem ludicrous but, yet, also fascinating. Beyond that, this book was super clean.
