GONE WITH THE WIND by Margaret Mitchelle

A novel of love and war, written about the Civil War and its aftermath. Taking us into the burning fields and cities of the American South, we meet the white-shouldered, irresistible Scarlett and the flashy, contemptuous Rhett, who survive under the harshest of circumstances, and become two of the most famous lovers since Romeo and Juliet.

Comments: I though this book was fantastic. It was so different from the movie and it really fleshed out Scarlett and Rhett whom I have never understood wholly. The history was amazing and I can see myself reading this book again.
